Have you ever wondered what it’s like to grow up on Sanibel Island?

Pfeifer Realty Group Documentary Series and Emmy Award Winning Film Maker, David Carter team up to Produce their first Sanibel Documentary Titled “Growing Up on Sanibel Island”

This Sanibel Documentary is the first in a series of 5 films sponsored by Pfeifer Realty Group and produced by 7 time Emmy Award Winner David E. Carter. Growing Up on Sanibel premiered on April 10th 2014 at BIG ARTS.

The film is produced by long-time Sanibel resident David E. Carter, who has won 7 Emmy Awards. His prior work, titled “Dear Baseball: I Love You,” was also produced on Sanibel. That film was honored by the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. His earlier documentary for CROW was also nominated for an Emmy Award.

Growing Up on Sanibel highlights four generations of people who grew up on Sanibel. The film will features some long–time Sanibel residents who either grew up here, or who moved here in their early adult years, and who raised families here. An additional focus to adults who grew up here takes a nostalgic look back at their experience growing up Sanibel Island. Finally, current “Sanibel kids” are featured, with glimpses into their island lives.

A series of Canvas Works of Art were auctioned during the premiere and raised several thousand dollars that were donated to the non-profit of the high bidders choice. Sanibel is... Wildlife.
