Sanibel Community House

The Sanibel Community House is the gathering place for all of us. They are a 501c3 non profit orgnaization that has existed since 1927 on Periwinkle Way.

Founder Curtis Perry a part time resident artist who lived on Captiva went door to door in 1927 to convince islanders to support the concept of a gathering place with money, materials and their labor.

Today the Sanibel Community Association operates the Community House where a wide range of activities are offered from weekly classes in Shell Crafting, to Yoga, Dancing as well as events and fundraisers.

Pfeifer Realty Group has been a supporter for many years enjoying Dancing with the Island Stars and helping set the Guinness Book of World Record for most people doing the Sanibel Stoop at one time.
